It was the perfect retreat for a troubled company.  No cell phones.  No BlackBerrys.  No cars.  Just a luxurious, remote lodge surrounded by thousands of miles of wilderness.
All the top officers of the Hammond Aerospace Corporation are there.  And one last-minute substitute -- a junior executive named Jake Landry.  He's a steady, modest, and taciturn guy with a gift for keeping his head down and a turbulent past he's trying to put behind him.
Jake's uncomfortable with all the power players he's been thrown in with, with all the swaggering and the posturing.  The only person there he knows is the female CEO's assistant--his ex-girlfriend, Ali.
When a band of backwoods hunters crash the opening-night dinner, the executives suddenly find themselves held hostage by armed men who will do anything, to anyone, to get their hands on the largest ransom in history.  Now, terrified and desperate and cut off from the rest of the world, the captives are at the mercy of hard men with guns who may not be what they seem.
The corporate big shots hadn't wanted Jake there.  But now he's the only one who can save them.
Power Play is a non-stop, pulse-pounding, high-stakes thriller that will hold the reader riveted until the very last page

Baton Rouge
Funny fact: As soon as the waiter got to us, Mathieu asked, in his cute French: "Est ce que vous avez des Shirley Temples."

Journée familiale ski Owl's Head

bonne journée de ski !

et à la fin  d'une journée de ski un osso bucco bien mijoté...excellent!

P.S. de Martin: ''What an amazing mountain! While I find Bromont and Tremblant to be very commercial, Owl's Head is very much a family business on a hill that has probably one of the most beautiful vista I've seen on a mountain (so far). Yes Tremblant is higher, and it's impressive to look down from the top and see all the little ski hills, but the lake from Owl's Head is breathtaking.

We went to ski with Sophie, Alex and Chris. I think Suzanne fell in love with Lilly's Leap, one of my favorite runs. It's very easy, but it has so much personality...''

Polatouche

Bonjour
Voici une petite photo pour toi, photo de nuit prise a Bolton est.

Gaëtan

Getting old is hell. J. P. Beaumont is finally taking some time off to have knee-replacement surgery. But instead of taking his mind off work, the operation plunges him into one of the most perplexing and mind-blowing mysteries he's ever faced.

A series of dreams takes him back to his early days on the force with the Seattle PD, and then even earlier, to his days in Vietnam, reminding him of people and events he hasn't thought about in years. Are they just drug-induced hallucinations? Beaumont isn't so sure. When tugging on those threads from long ago leads to present-day murders, Beau's suspicions are confirmed. Some bodies from the second watch just won't stay buried.

A masterful demonstration of J. A. Jance's superb craftsmanship, Second Watch is a thought-provoking novel that is also a poignant look at one of the most painful and divisive moments in our history—Vietnam—and a reminder of the staggering cost of war and the debts we owe to those who served then . . . and those who do now.
Excellent choix, ma chérie ....ça te va très bien!

Bonne semaine de relâche et de ski!

Je suis très fière d'avoir donné le goût de skier à mes enfants qui l'ont transmit à mes petits enfants.
